There are numerous uniform options for Senior Member, here are five of the more common options in the squadron. Members who meet the height and weight standards detailed below and who are in compliance with grooming standards may wear the Air Force style uniforms -- ABU and blue service dress uniform. Members who do not meet the height and weight requirements or Air Force grooming standards need to wear either the corporate or aviator uniforms (all seniors may wear the aviator uniforms, not just pilots).
If you are going to wear the uniform, then know the regulations as you are responsible for your own appearance, and around cadets, you are setting an example -- make sure it's a good one! CAPR 39-1 Civil Air Patrol Uniform Regulation
1.2.4. Wearing the USAF-style uniform is a privilege extended to CAP members who meet weight (see Attachment 2) and grooming standards (see paragraph 3.2). Commanders and activity directors are expected to enforce these standards and ensure that members wearing USAF-style uniforms understand these requirements, that members wearing USAF-style uniforms accept personal responsibility for meeting these requirements and are expected to provide remedial education and counseling if required.

Senior members may wear ribbons on the Corporate-style Aviator Shirt and the USAF-style Blue Service Uniform (Class B), however ribbons are mandatory for wear on the USAF-style Service Dress Jacket (Class A). Ribbons are worn on the left side for all of the above mentioned uniforms. All ribbons will be placed so that they touch each other, that is there will be no spaces between rows of ribbons. (If you are purchasing premade ribbon racks, be sure not to get an Army rack with 3/8th inch spacing between rows.) There is an order of precedence for ribbons and the rule of thumb is, "the highest goes closest to the heart" in that the highest award is top and wearer's right. There are diagrams in CAPR 39-1 regarding placement and precedence, however one of the easiest ways to quickly check if your ribbons are correct is to utilize one of the two following websites: McChord Ribbon Rack Builder for Senior Members or (you guessed it) Vanguard's EZ Rack Builder CAP. (The Vanguard site does give you the option of "right staggered" which is done on the service jacket when dealing with lapels.)
